Manchester Airport Terminal 2

Manchester Airport Terminal 2 is the second largest terminal and was opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1993.  At a cost of £256 million it was and still is a state of the art airport terminal capable of serving Manchester Airport for years to come.  In the building of Manchester Airport Terminal 2 over 350,000 shrubs and trees were used in the landscaping that surrounds the terminal making it a lovely environment to travel to and from.  The terminal has:

  • A total of 5 baggage reclaim belts that handle 54,000 items of luggage a day
